Manchester United €100m deal with Ajax for winger Antony and the player is expected to complete his transfer in the coming days subject to successful medical.
The Red Devils have been on the trail of the Brazilian since Eric Ten Hag switched to Old Trafford and the end has finally come to the chase that hasn’t only lasted all summer, but also some lots of money being thrown in from the first bid.
Antony is the second Ajax player heading to United after Argentine defender Lisandro Martinez joined earlier in the window. Ajax has now pocketed a whooping €167m from two players sold to the Red Devils with the relationship between both clubs, powered by Edwin Van Dar Sar coming handy.
United have bounced back from a false start that saw them lose their opening two games to winning back-to-back games, including a clean sheet and an away win for the first time in seven attempts after their 1-0 at Southampton.
United’s next game is away at Leicester City; the Foxes are yet to win this season and have now lost three on the bounce after failing to earn a point against Arsenal, Chelsea and Southampton.
