It’s that time of the season where everyone monitors breaking news and player movements, we bring to you the peak of the bunch as team try to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

City frustrated by Brighton over Cucurella

Manchester City could pull out of the race to sign Brighton left back Marc Cucurella following the Seagull’s reluctance to lower their evaluation of the player they signed from Eibar in the Spanish La Liga last season.

The champions saw their £30m bid rejected for the left back and would now turn to Borussia Dortmund’s Ralph Guerrero, with Oleg Zinchenko off to Arsenal, City must sign a replacement before the window slams shut at the end of the month.

Fabregas undergoing Como medical

Stranger things `happened but how does anyone explain Cesc Fabregas’ move to Italian Serie B side Como after the expiration of his Monaco contract?

The former Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona playmaker agreed a two-year deal with the Serie B side and with former Chelsea director Denis Wise in charge at the club, it was quite easier for the Spaniard to make the decision. Fabregas will be presented as a new Como player upon successful medical.

Idrissa Gueye to return to Everton

Following departures from Everton’s midfield, Frank Lampard has turned to former Evertonian Idrissa Gana Gueye and a deal looks a lot likely considering the player is now surplus to requirements at PSG and would look to move away.

Everton sold the player for to the French champions in 2019 for a fee of £30m but a bid of £10m should seal his return to Goodison Park and he would be the direct replacement for Fabian Delph.

Chelsea to offer player plus cash for United’s target?

Manchester United’s long-term target Frenkie De Jong is a subject of potential bid by Chelsea and if the deal sees the light of the day, it would mean some huge relief for the Blues after seeing a couple of their targets end up at Camp Nou.

Chelsea understand the Catalan giants want Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta, throwing the two into the mix with £20m could land their man much to the disgust of Manchester United that had been in the race for a long time.

Leicester reject Newcastle’s bid for Maddison

Newcastle has seen a bid of £40m for James Maddison rejected by Leicester City as Brendan Rodgers viewed the offer as insulting.

Rodgers said Newcastle’s offer for the England midfielder is only worth a certain percentage of his left leg and while no amount has been quoted for Madders, one can reckon he wouldn’t be sold for less than £60m but would he fancy a move to Newcastle?
