Fulham remains unbeaten in three and the last-minute win over the Bees last weekend suggests the club can build on something to survive in the premier league this season but they must follow that performance up with another solid display against the league leaders.

The Lily Whites beat Brentford with a last gasp Alexander Mitrovic header on Saturday and what that means for them is seventh position on the log, they will go into top four if they beat Arsenal but that also depends on other results.

Arsenal currently sit top of the log and that feels strange. It’s the first time since their sensational unbeaten season that they’re without blemish in three games at the start of the season. It’s also the first time in a while that they’ve won back-to-back games on the road without conceding.

Arsenal will host Fulham on Saturday to round off the day and they will seek to build on their impressive start with another win that will keep them at the top at least for another game round but they have another game in midweek as the season steps into gear two.

Fulham doesn’t have solid record against Arsenal but everyone knows no two games are the same. Marco Silva is the coach at Fulham and he has done a great job with the Lilywhites, guiding them to the premier league and making them play quality football.

Mitrovic is the player to watch in the Fulham team but there’s Paulinha in the middle and if fitness permits, Manor Solomon can also wreck havocs but he won’t be available this weekend. Defensively, Fulham could set up Bernd Leno against his former club and that will be interesting to see.

Arsenal is better in quality, the Gunners must add a player in midfield and maybe a wide player but as it stands, Fulham will celebrate a point if they get one. Gabriel Jesus is the man to watch for Arsenal but keep an eye on Bukayo Saka; Gabriel Martinelli has grabbed the headlines so far but Saka’s time is now.

Verdict: Arsenal to win
