It’s that time of the season where everyone monitors breaking news and player movements, we bring to you the peak of the bunch as team try to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

United unveil Eriksen, set to land Martinez

Manchester United are wide awake in the summer transfer window as the club unveiled the second signing, Christian Eriksen joined on a free transfer after bouncing back to life at Brentford following a worrisome health scare.

Eriksen was instrumental to Brentford’s survival in the premier league but turned down the club’s offer to extend his contract and has now joined the Old Trafford club but we can confirm that Lisandro Martinez will join from Ajax and Frenkie De Jong is still in talks from Barcelona.

Ekitike choose PSG over Newcastle

Reims hot shot Hugo Ekitike that was recently believed to be on his way to Newcastle has now chosen PSG and is currently undergoing medicals with the French champions.

Reims agreed terms with Newcastle for a fee believed to be close to £40m but the player’s body language towards the English side was so poor that the Tyneside club had to pull out. Maybe the pull isn’t there yet for Eddie Howe’s side and the player has now made a choice.

Mahrez renews, Cucurella loading

Manchester City have announced that Riyad Mahrez has extended his contract with the club until 2025 and that ends speculation around his future considering the fact that the champions have been selling their players freely in the current window.

Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling and Fernandinho have all left the club with Oleg Zinchenko set to join Arsenal but the club has lined up Marc Cucurella as replacement for the Ukrainian should he eventually depart to the Emirates Stadium.

Barcelona agrees fee for Lewa, Bernardo

Don’t ask where they’re getting money from but Barcelona are doing wonders on negative finances with the agreement with Bayern Munich for the £40m transfer of 33-year-old Robert Lewandowski and we’re also made to believe that Bernardo Silva could join from Manchester City.

Barcelona need Frenkie De Jong to leave for the Silva deal to progress but the Dutchman won’t leave except the Spanish side pay him his deferred wages they owe. United continue to grow frustrated but they must wait.

Gnabry extends with Bayern

Loyalty to Arsenal or he was technically using the window to negotiate better terms with Bayern? Or the imminent sale of Lewandowski to Barcelona changed it all? Serge Gnabry has renewed with Bayern Munich until 2026, club CEO Oliver Khan can confirm.

There had been speculations around the future of the former Arsenal starlet but all that has been laid to rest as Gnabry has now extended his current contract b a further three years. He joined Bayern at the age of 22 and doesn’t want to leave to Chelsea as widely speculated.
