It’s that time of the season where everyone monitors breaking news and player movements, we bring to you the peak of the bunch as team try to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
Pochettino out, Galtier in at PSG
It’s been widely reported for weeks now that PSG will sack Mauricio Pochettino and hire someone else with Zidane very much in the books but PSG chairman has come out to say he’s fully in charge and Zidane will not be their manager.
Al-Khalefi has reiterated his desire to ensure that every player at the club fits the bill and Christophe Galtier will replace Pochettino in the coming days; talks are progressing with OGC Nice in that regard.
Tottenham and Chelsea rival Arsenal for Raphinha
Arsenal placed a bid that fell short of Leeds’ evaluation of Raphinha on Tuesday and it has been respectfully rejected but talks are ongoing with the Gunners believed to be planning a second bid.
However, Tottenham and Chelsea have entered the race and could submit a bid in the coming days. The duo has champions league football to offer the Brazilian and Arsenal may have to act right as soon as now if they want their man.
Manchester United still asleep?
Manchester United remain linked to every player on the planet with absolutely nothing happening in terms of in-comings with pre-season starting in the coming days.
Frenkie De Jong is still a Barcelona player and no one is close to joining Manchester United. The club has released Paul Pogba – who is now a Juventus player, Nemanja Matic – who has rejoined Jose Mourinho at Roma and Jesse Lingard who we expect to join Westham, what is the problem with United?
Chelsea to replace Lukaku with City’s Sterling?
Romelu Lukaku has sealed a loan move back to Inter Milan and that should reignite his career after a better forgotten season at Chelsea and the Blues are now poised to replace the Belgian with Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.
The City forward is a subject of transfer following the arrivals of Erling Haaland and Julio Alcaraz, and with Arsenal closing on Gabriel Jesus, Chelsea are now set to take another forward from the champions in the coming days.
PSG hijack Renato Sanchez deal
If anyone ever tells you money doesn’t solve problems, ensure that person has made more than enough of it before pushing such narratives with PSG showing of their wealth in a battle against AC Milan on Portuguese young midfielder Renato Sanchez.
The former Bayern star already agreed terms with AC Milan and was just awaiting medicals but PSG has now hijacked that deal and the former Swansea player will now join the French champions and reunite with Galtier who won the league with Sanches at Lille.
