Guardiola tells Barca to forget Silva

Pep Guardiola has told Barcelona to forget about Bernardo Silva even though he doesn’t like to stop an unhappy player from seeking a move away. Guardiola had a chat with Barca President Juan Laporta at a friendly game over the weekend where the latter joked about the player.

"I think he will continue with [City]," he said. "But I have always said I don't want players that don't want to be with us. But Bernardo is important and I think he will stay. As a club, the aim is for him to stay."

Ronaldo De Lima, owner of Real Valladolid has also signaled interest in his former teammate as well as Dani Alves as the tiny club prepares for life in the top tier of Spanish football. Ronaldo is waiting on the duo to choose his club as they would be the leading lights for the new season.
