It’s that time of the season where everyone monitors breaking news and player movements, we bring to you the peak of the bunch as team try to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

Laazette returns to Lyon after Arsenal era

Arsenal’s French striker Alexander Lacazette has left the club on a free transfer to rejoin Lyon after a five-year spell at the North London club where he won a couple of FA Cups.

Arsenal paid Lyon £50m for Lacazette’s services five years ago amidst high hopes but the French man didn’t really live up to the expectations. His Arsenal career never witnessed a 20-goal league season and Arsenal never qualified for the champions league in his time at the club.

Liverpool lead the race for Darwin Nunez

Liverpool has tasted life at the summit of European football and they don’t want to let it slip again, hence their strong drive in the transfer window to circumvent a possible loss of either or both of Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah.

Liverpool have launched a convincing €80m bid for Benfica striker Darwin Nunez and will improve that with €10m worth of add ons. The Portuguese club is believed to be mulling over this offer with Liverpool hoping for another quadruple drive next season.

Big trio gun for Lautaro Martinez

Argentine forward Lautaro Martinez could be on his way out of Inter Milan as three top European clubs seeking his signatures ahead of the new season which begins in August.

Chelsea, PSG and Atletico Madrid have all asked about Martinez and with Inter Milan strongly after Paulo Dybala, there might be a big possibility that the pocket sized forward would leave San Siro for another destination this summer.

Chelsea ready to sell trio

Chelsea will listen to offers for Christian Pulisic, Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner this summer as the club tries to catch up on lost grounds and get the team ready to compete in the new season.

The Blues finished a distant third and crashed out of the champions league at the quarter final stage last season but they made two cup final appearances, losing to Liverpool on both occasions. The Blues want to sign Lautaro Martinez and a couple of defensive figures too.

Gatusso signs for Valencia

Valencia has announced Genarro Gatusso as their new manager on a two-year deal with an option of another year and it’s safe to ask if that’s a shock to you.

The former AC Milan and player and manager will take charge of the Spanish side in the new season and he’s already talking tough. He wants to win titles with the average side he’s inheriting and Real Madrid and Barcelona will have to be careful.
