It’s that time of the season where everyone monitors breaking news and player movements, we bring to you the peak of the bunch as team try to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

End of the Dani Alves era at Barcelona

Not many saw his second coming at Barcelona possible but Dani Alves is that Phoenix of football that keeps reinventing himself and he’s been disciplined to stay in shape and that’s why he’s one of the most decorated players ever in the game but his time at Barcelona is up.

Xavi has made it known to Alves that he will not have his contract renewed as the club continues to heal from debt and off field issues. Alves rejoined Barcelona on a short contract last window but will be released this month by the Catalonia side.

Lewandowski to Barcelona begs for explanations

Barcelona continues the purge, after announcing that they will not be renewing the contracts of Gerrard Pique and Dani Alves, but how do you justify the club’s chase of veteran striker Robert Lewandowksi? Is this playing?

The club is after the Bayern striker with over 40m and are confident of landing him to a team that already has former Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Memphis Depay, can Barcelona explain the logic? Especially when they’re trying to sell Frenkie De Jong to fund the deal.

PSG to land Inter’s Skriniar?

Inter Milan’s Serbian defender Milan Skriniar is a subject of interest from French champions PSG and he is hyped up about it but it’s best to leave it till the Paris based club decides on their next manager with Mauricio Pochettino on his way out.

Skriniar was on the radar of Manchester clubs, United and City as well as Chelsea but with 60m his asking price, PSG looks like his destination as he seeks to change clubs.

City set sights on Cucurella

Brighton and Hove Albion’s Marc Cucurella is the next player to be linked to Manchester City and from the look of things, this deal will cross the line sooner than later.

Manchester City can afford to allow Oleg Zinchenko to leave when they sign a replacement, Joao Cancelo is a worthy candidate but with Kyle Walker struggling, his place on the right sometimes means Nathan Ake or Aymeric Larporte would deputize, this makes the Cucurella link a real possibility.

Porto’s Vitinha in the news again

FC Porto’s midfield enforcer, Vitinha is on the radar of Manchester United and Arsenal and anyone of them that get him would relish the opportunity but he looks a lot like a Wolves type of transfer news as that is officially the Portuguese base in England.

Arsenal suffered in the middle in the absence of Thomas Partey last season and United had their fair share in that regard, the latter have been linked to Vitinha’s compatriot Ruben Neves but let’s see what happens in the coming days.
