It might be off season, but a lot is happening in the world of football and it is our job to bring you top feeds. The Finalissima is here and some international games ahead of the World Cup too, not forgetting some transfer news... We look at a few of them.

Ukraine took no prisoners

It was an emotional night in Glasgow, not many expected Ukraine to pull off any magic considering the fact that six of the players that started for them on Wednesday night in a rescheduled World Cup qualifier against Scotland were kicking the ball for the first time since December.

The Ukrainians played with their hearts and left nothing undone to undo Scotland. Ukraine won 3-1 on the night and will now face Wales in the playoffs final. That should be some game to savor.

Is it time for Mancini to go?

Italy were unbelievably underwhelming in their 3-0 loss to Argentina at Wembley, it was the game that pitched European champions against the South American champions, it is called Finalissima.

This game was staged in honor of the late Diego Armando Maradona who passed away in 2020. Italy fielded their strongest available eleven and still lost scandalously; Lionel Messi inspired Argentina to an emphatic win and you wonder if we’ll ever stop talking about him and the other guy.

United release Pogba, Lingard

It is now the worst kept secret but if you evaluate objectively, United will have lots of regrets for not cashing on Jesse Lingard and Paul Pogba last summer.

They had another opportunity in January, they refused to jump on it and in the end, two of their best legs will be leaving them for nothing. Paul Pogba already agreed a deal with Juventus while Jesse Lingard is expected to return to Westham

Is Benjamin Mendy cursed?

We don’t know the whereabouts of Gylfi Siggurdsen and it looks like Mason Greenwood will spend longer days behind bars but step forward Benjamin Mendy, is everything okay with this man?

It was revealed on Wednesday that another count of rape has been slammed on the Manchester City defender, that’s the eighth and he has attempted rape charges as well assaults. No one makes a definitive statement in this context but it doesn’t look like we’ll ever see this guy in football again.

Heung Min Son snub for POTY is disturbing

Not many would frown at the Premier League Player of the Year award going to Kevin De Bruyne or Mohammed Salah, one can even understand for Sadio Mane, but if there’s one player you’d want to throw into the mix, it is the joint top scorer Heung Min Son.

There’s no justification for his omission on the list, considering the fact that Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Kane made the list; it is unbelievable and rather disturbing that the Tottenham forward was snubbed and someone like Van Dijk made the list.
