Chelsea are in unfamiliar terrains, they lost at Westham last weekend and lost their top position in their champions league group to a very late Zenith goal, this isn’t the Chelsea we’ve come to know.

The Blues have conceded six goals in the last two games, that’s twice the number they conceded in the previous eight, Thomas Tuchel has questioned his players’ mentality after the last two games and he expects a reaction in the game against Leeds United.

Leeds United left it late but rallied to get a very important draw against Brentford last weekend, a late equalizer by the returning Patrick Bamford leveled things but in a strange development, he injured himself while he was celebrating wildly.

Leeds United aren’t getting what they deserve this season, they’re underperforming their xG and they’re not where they want to be, if they want to start climbing, a statement result against the European champions would do the trick.

Chelsea are the clear favorites for this one, but nothing is won on paper as we’ve seen with the game of football, the Blues must come to the party from start to finish as they know Leeds don’t know when they’re losing.

Marcelo Bielsa is a renaissance man with lots of experience, this however is the longest he’s stayed on a job as he feels he has points to prove in the premier league with Leeds United, his touch on the team is quite evident but they need to start stocking up on points.

Chelsea will learn the extent of damage the result against Zenith would be as the draws of the champions league round of sixteen is made in the new week, but first they need to fulfill righteousness in the league after losing the top spot.

Chelsea could start this game five points behind City if the champions beat Wolves at the Etihad in the early kickoff, they could also be needing a win to draw level on points or even usurp Pep Guardiola’s side if there’s an upset in the game.

Leeds United have not beaten Chelsea in almost two decades, they earned a hard fought goalless draw last season at Elland Road, they will need all their concentration when they visit Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

Verdict: Chelsea to win
