Liverpool vs Brighton
Anfield
3:00pm

Liverpool are something else right now, they chopped heavily in midweek and still had no problems dispatching second tier side Preston North End, different personnel, same system, same result. No problem and than you very much.

Brighton aren’t worried and they honestly don’t have to be, they’re flirting with the top ten and despite a run of fixtures against the big boys, the worst that would happen is probably they dropping to 10th, you can take this to the bank: Brighton won’t mix it with the red zone folks this season.

Brighton lost to Manchester City last time out but the result doesn’t really tell the exact tale of the match with Seagulls actually dominating the champions for a good period in the game, it ended 4-1 and certainly, lessons were learned.

Liverpool went to Old Trafford last weekend, they felt at home while United were trying to seek resources to entertain them, they turned it around and entertained the hosts themselves, it rained heavily on the Devils and five times they had to retrieve the ball from their own net. Epic.

It will be interesting how the Seagulls set up for this, they could easily throw caution in the wind and attack like they did against the champions or concede possession to allow them organize defensively, just maybe they can earn something.

On paper it’s only going one way, Liverpool are on top of it right now and there’s no stopping them; Mohammed Salah has scored in ten straight games, boy Liverpool would wish AFCON doesn’t happen truly but until then, they will milk their talisman, and oh he needs to sign a new deal too.

Brighton are unbeaten in two games against Liverpool including the 1-0 win over the Kops on this ground last season, that was actually at a point Liverpool was handing out points to everyone that visited Anfield.

We’re looking out for an amazing game on Saturday, Liverpool will have the extra incentive of going top with a win at least until Chelsea play, Brighton with a shock win would go back into the top 4 but a loss could see them drop out of the top 10 altogether if surrounding results go against them.

Verdict: Liverpool to win
