Sake for the Turkish league that still has the luxury of transfers till 8^th September, the summer window is done and dusted; there are some high profile movements including the two superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, but who are those players that failed to move and shocked us?

5. Houssem Aouar

Here’s one player that was in the news throughout the 2020 summer window as a transfer target for Arsenal and he was said to be close to signing for the Gunners but his agent made ridiculous demands that ended the transfer but in reality, not many teams asked after him in the just concluded window.

Is Houssem Aoaur all that? Is he worth the hype around him in the 2020 windows? Why didn’t top clubs consider him during the summer window despite how much Lyon need money?

 

4. Paul Pogba

Frenchman Paul Pogba is in the final year of his contract at Manchester United and he was touted for a potential move to PSG but everything changed after the Lionel Messi transfer to the French club, ultimately ending all speculations around Pogba.

Real Madrid were another club linked to Pogba but nothing like a bid arrived at Old Trafford for him.

Although Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is confident that the midfielder will renew his contract but it’s not looking like it, will he leave for free?

 

3. Erling Braut Haaland

Norway super striker Erling Braut Haaland was in the news all summer for a potential transfer to Real Madrid or Manchester City with none materializing at the end of the window.

No pressure on Borussia Dortmund to sell but it was a surprise that no bid was made for him.

His numbers are outrageous, he is the real deal and many clubs will seek his signature next season but for how much? 

Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich are certain to be interested, not leaving behind Spanish giants Real Madrid and Barcelona – if their debts allow them.

 

2. Kylian Mbappe

How did PSG reject a bid of €200m for Kylian Mbappe from Real Madrid? 

Knowing the striker only has a year left on his current PSG contract and will be free to negotiate with clubs by January, why not cash in on him and invest in players that want to stay?

The player handed in a transfer request, he pushed for the move yet the Qatari board refused to sell, “no be juju be that?”

Mbappe wants to play for Real Madrid, he wasn’t obliged by PSG, he has been rumoured to reject a new deal again, who is the loser?

 

1. Harry Kane

There should be a drumroll for the clear winner of this weird award, a player that indeed wanted to leave, made efforts in his own rights and then fell for whatever sweet words or blackmail by Daniel Levy to remain at Tottenham Hotspur, good people of the world wherever you are… Harry Kane!

The England striker went awol, failed to report to training, granted indirect interviews and talked about his desire to leave and then an informal “gentleman” agreement with Daniel Levy, then turned around to claim he’s always wanted to stay, at 29 and certain not to win anything at Spurs… Say what?
