The Fantasy Premier League is back, who are you backing to feature in your team this season? (Photo credit: Premierleague.com) |
We totally
understand that it’s almost premier league season and the Fantasy Premier
League community will be buzzing with managers jostling for the right picks
within the £100m available, here are some useful
tips from us to you
Brentford vs Arsenal
Ivan Toney (£6.5m) is currently the best buy in terms of FPL forwards
with a decent price, Ben White (£4.5m) is an absolute Bargain for that price if
you want to go for the Arsenal defense. Emile Smith-Rowe is expected to have a
big season, Bukayo Saka might need some time to settle in, but a bargain buy
from Brentford will be Mbeuno.
Manchester United vs Leeds
Expect it to be a game with plenty of goals in it, Bruno Fernandes
(£12m) as always remains the standout option, Last season's top points scorer
should be a lock in every team, Apart from him Luke Shaw (£5.5m) looks like a
really good option with Man United defense showing how tight they are at the
back last season.
Raphinha (£6.5m) looks like an absolute steal at that price basically
guaranteeing him as a must have Jadon Sancho (£9.5m) is the hottest prospect
costs £2.5m less than Bruno Fernandes which could really be hefty if you want
to spend elsewhere
Burnley vs Brighton
A plethora of defensive options from the team that massively
underperformed their expected numbers last season, Robert Sanchez (£4.5m) looks
like this season's Emi Martinez if Brighton are able to balance their expected
numbers this season...
Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
Chelsea team is a minefield with so many players fighting for every
position and Tuchel is known for rotating his players, Havertz (£8.5m) could
become a genuine option if he takes his Euro form into the Premier League.
Guaita (£4.5m) another solid Goalkeeping option for very cheap if
Patrick Vieira sorts their defence out, He could be absolute gold with him
known for raking up plenty of save points and bonus points in the process.
Romelu Lukaku is someone I would strongly consider from GW1 regardless
the fixtures and he should probably get the most minutes out of all the Chelsea
attacking options in my opinion.
Everton vs Southampton
With Rafa Benitez taking charge of the toffies, I expect him to revert
to a back 3/5 which means Lucas Digne (£5.5m) will play as a wingback, I would
heavily consider him for GW1, Benitez always has a target man in his teams and
DCL (£8m) could Have a lot of joy playing under the new coach, Southampton are
currently a team to wait and see so i wouldn't recommend any of their assets.
Leicester vs Wolves
Barnes (£7m) and Maddison (£7m) could be great differentials early on in
the season in that price bracket, Ryan Bertrand (£5m) could be someone to look
at as a differential, Had a very good game against Man City in the community
shield.
Wolves team are a wait and see under new Boss Bruno Lage, I won't
recommend investing in them at the moment apart from Rayan Air Nouri (£4.5m)
who played at LW for them in pre-season and could start at LB in the premier
league.
Watford vs Aston Villa
Matty Targett (£5m) could prove to be a bargain as he plays WAT (A), NEW
(H), BRE (H) in his first 3GWs and I can see at least 2 clean sheets for them
in that time.
Emi Martinez is already in most teams at £5.5m, there will be a lot of
confusion as to what Dean Smith wants upfront with Danny Ings and Ollie Watkins
both at £8m, for the Hornets you will do good to watch them before plunging on
their players.
Norwich vs Liverpool
Salah (£12.5m) should be a must have and is the best captain option by a
mile for GW1, Trent (£7.5m) is another must have since GW24 last season amongst
defenders he has been top for shots, Big chances created, Assists, xA and FPL
points.
Another kindly priced gem is Diogo Jota (£7.5m) feels like a bargain the
way he performed last season, He is the standout 3rd pool player to have in
your team, You could opt for Sadio Mane (£12m) in place of Bruno if you want to
go non template and a differential (3.3% TSB).
Newcastle vs Westham
Coufal (£5m) feels like an absolute Bargain for a player who has had 9
assists last season had 11 shots from inside the box and created 10 big
chances, Only Cresswell had more assists (11) in that West ham side, Antonio
(£7.5m) looks like the forward to own from GW1 onwards as he faces Newcastle, Palace
and Saints in the first 4 GWs
Callum Wilson (£7.5m) was the most efficient striker for £8m and under
last season scoring 12 goals with just 20 shots on target, He could be a great
differential.
Said Benrahma (£6m) is someone to consider with that price and he had an
excellent pre-season, Could be a huge season for him in attacking terms and in
my opinion is the standout option for 6-7m alongside Barnes and Raphinha
Tottenham vs Manchester City
Champions Man City are favourites again as per the odds to win the PL
but their players are the hardest to pick for FPL due to heavy rotation
Mahrez (£9m) i believe will be a better value than De Bruyne and is
almost guaranteed a start if City don't sign a striker, Ferran Torres £7m for a
Man City player who could play RW and as a false 9 feels like an absolute
bargain, expecting him to be rotated but he could be a steal at that price.
Man City defense is currently a minefield with no clear view of who the
back 4 will be; Pep hinted in one of his interviews that Zinchenko (£5.5m) will
have a "bigger role" to play this season and i expect him to be the
first choice LB, John stones at (£5.5m) could be another cheaper route into
that solid City defense
