Mason Greenwood celebrates winning goal for Man united at Wolves

Cristiano Ronaldo's influence was felt as Manchester United defeated Wolves in their first match since announcing the forward's re-signing.

Ronaldo was not present at Molineux, but United's travelling supporters cheered his name, with the Red Devils likely to finalise his move from Juventus for £12.8 million in the coming days.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were perpetually second best to a spirited Wolves until Mason Greenwood scored a disputed late winner.

Wolves claimed Ruben Neves was fouled during the build-up, but the goal was upheld.

Within 15 minutes, Wolves could have been 3-0 up, but David de Gea saved Raul Jiminez's effort early in the game, Aaron Wan-Bissaka made a goal-saving block to prevent Trincao, and Joao Moutinho volleyed over following a Jadon Sancho error.

United were second best for most of the game, and it took a magnificent double save from De Gea from Romain Saiss to stop Wolves from grabbing the lead before to Greenwood's finish.
