News breaking out of Paris as confirmed by PSG sporting director Leonardo says France forward Kylian Mbappe has rejected a new offer from the club and he wants to join Real Madrid.

The La Liga giant submitted a bid rumored to be upwards of €150m for the speed demon but it was rejected on arrival by PSG as it was deemed insufficient for the player who has just one year left on his PSG contract.

"Kylian Mbappe wants to leave, that seems clear," Leonardo confirmed to the famous French news outlet RMC on Wednesday. "If he wants to leave, we are not going to keep him, but it will be done under our conditions.

"We have spoken a lot with Kylian and he always tells us the same thing. Kylian has always promised us that he would never leave the club on a free transfer."

Leonardo continued in a response to Spanish news outlet Marca: "It's a long way from what we think, and we won't offload a player for less than we paid for him at 18 years old," and you begin to wonder what the final figure will look like.

"Verbally we've said no to Madrid," Leonardo said. "We haven't received another offer from Madrid. ... If [Mbappe] wants to go, he'll go, but with our conditions."
