Messi lowers expectation to help Barcelona

The long standing battle over contract extension for Lionel Messi at Barcelona is coming to an end after the living legend agreed to lower his salary expectation and take a pay cut to ease the financial situation at the Nou Camp.

Barcelona have been unable to register the trio of Memphis Depay, Sergio Aguero and Lionel Messi, the financial books aren’t balanced and they have to work things out, their man has helped, and he will now continue to complete contract renewals.

 

Juventus and PSG battle over Man UTD’s Pogba

Whatever it is that PSG saw in Manchester United’s French midfielder Paul Pogba has also been noticed by the decision makers at Juventus, this will lead to a transfer battle and it’s what we signed up for.

Pogba hasn’t really light up Old Trafford, most fans thought he’s got too much baggage and his injury woes and disappearing acts don’t add up, he has just one year left on his contract and Manchester United and that counts for something in the structure of the transfer fee.

 

Mourinho eyes Telles from old club

Roma are in talks to sign Manchester United left back Alex Telles, according to Sky in Italy. 

Telles, 28, joined United from Porto last October, and has made 24 appearances for the club, the majority coming in the Europa League and Champions League. 

Roma want to sign a replacement for the injured Leonardo Spinazzola. Jose Mourinho is a big time admirer of the Portuguese and he will try to steal him from his old club.

 

Youri Tielemans to Liverpool?

West Ham are in talks with Paris Saint Germain over the signing of goalkeeper Alphonse Areola and it’s indeed up for discussion after the Paris side snapped up free agent Gigi Donnarumma.

The deal under discussion is for a season-long loan with the option to make it permanent.

Areola’s PSG contract runs until the summer of 2023, and he spent last season on loan at Fulham.

 

Kounde rejects Spurs, London club eye Ings

Tottenham have made Southampton striker Danny Ings their priority signing this summer, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Ings has only a year remaining on his contract with the Saints and has rejected a new four-year deal from the club.

The Telegraph also reports that Joules Kounde has rejected Spurs and the club will now look elsewhere for defensive cover
