Tottenham Hotspur eye move for Brighton wing-back Tariq Lamptey

Tottenham are eyeing a move for Brighton wing-back Tariq Lamptey.

Serge Aurier is very much likely to be sold, just a matter of waiting on the new manager to decide and Matt Doherty has failed to impress at Tottenham since his switch from Wolves.

Hence the news that the North London club are trying frantically to sign Tariq Lamptey from Brighton.

It's a really challenging time for the Seagulls as top clubs raid them for their talents.

But it is what it is and they may have to brace up for a bid from Spurs as the London side tries to bolster things on their right side where they currently struggle.

The former Chelsea prodigy joined Amex Stadium in January of last year and has impressed under Graham Potter this season, despite being limited in playing time due to injury concerns.

In March, Lamptey had a season-ending hamstring injury that needed surgery.

The dynamic England U21 player made 11 appearances for Brighton this season but has not featured for them since a goalless draw with Fulham on December 16th.

Lamptey signed a contract extension with Brighton earlier this year, committing his long-term future to the club. He is under contract with the club until 2025.
