Man United close in on Jadon Sancho as talks continue as both parties are cautiously optimistic that an agreement could be reached soon
Man United and Borussia Dortmund are still in talks over the signing of Jadon Sancho, with all sides 'cautiously optimistic' that a deal will be reached.
The total fee Dortmund wants and United's payment arrangement are the main points of contention in the signing of the England international.
The asking price is expected to be much lower than Dortmund's £108 million asking price last summer, owing to the ongoing pandemic's economic consequences and the fact that Sancho is entering the final two years of his contract.
However, while the Bundesliga club is open to offers, they will only sell if their terms for the player's price and the club's transfer deadline are reached, neither of which have been made public.
Personal terms between Sancho and United are not believed to be a problem if the transfer conditions are completed, as they were finalised when the Premier League club attempted to assist a deal last summer.
All sides have a "cautious optimism" that a solution can be reached.
Sancho is also being pursued by a number of other clubs this summer.
