AC Milan have announced the signing of Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea on a permanent deal for £24m after activating the option to buy clause
AC Milan have announced the signing of Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori for £24m after his successful loan spell last season at the San Siro.
He joins the Serie A club after the Milan giants exercised an option to buy him permanently as part of his January loan move.
The 23-year-old England centre-back has signed a four-year contract with the Italian giants.
Last season, Tomori played 22 games for Milan and scored one goal.
Despite having a breakthrough season in 2019-20, he fell out of favour under former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard last season.
Official statement from AC Milan's website:
AC Milan is delighted to announce the exercising of the option for the permanent transfer of Oluwafikayomi Oluwadamilola Tomori from Chelsea. The English defender, who made 22 appearances and scored one goal over the last season, will continue to play with the Club until 30 June 2025.
