Real Madrid left it late in the victory over visiting Osasuna as they remain in second on La Liga table with two points behind leaders Atletico Madrid.

Brazilian defender Militao put Real in the lead with a header from Isco's corner in the 76th minute.

Karim Benzema then found Casemiro with a nice pass for the midfielder to turn in.

Atletico Madrid had increased their lead at the top to five points after a slim win at Elche earlier on Saturday.

The La Liga title race is still wide open with all the top four teams in contention.

Barcelona missed the chance to go top on Thursday after their shocking home loss to Granada.

But they can close the gap and move level on points with second-placed Real Madrid if they win against Valencia on Sunday.

Sevilla can stay three points off the top if they get a victory over Athletic Bilbao on Monday.
