In the wake of the embarrassing fans’ protest that forced the hands of the league management board to reschedule the fixture between Liverpool and Manchester United, the Old Trafford clan are keeping the whereabouts of their players away from the public.

With fans unhappy at the Glazers family and their handling of the club’s processes, they took to Old Trafford on the 2nd of May to make sure the fixture originally slated for the day didn’t hold.

The club can’t guarantee that irate fans won’t attack the team bus on their way to honour the fixture thereby forcing a postponement for the second time.

Security meetings have been scaled back to ensure only a number of club employees know the whereabouts of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team ahead of Thursday's clash at Old Trafford.

And in order to further disguise, the use of decoy buses outside different hotels has also been affected.

The traditional Lowry Hotel wasn’t used for the game against Leicester which the team lost and although a team bus was stationed outside, there’s no sight of any player in the bus.

Security around Old Trafford has already been stepped up with barricades and gates erected on the forecourt outside the East Stand to prevent a repeat of the scenes that led to the postponement of the original fixture with Liverpool.

The game against Liverpool is more significant for the visitors as Chelsea’s loss to Arsenal means they can hope for a further slip up from the Blues but they have to keep their own business end.

Liverpool can close the gap between them and Chelsea to four points and then hope Chelsea doesn’t pick more than one point in their remaining two games.
