Liverpool earned their first victory at Old Trafford under Jurgen Klopp after coming from behind to beat Manchester United and boost their hopes of a top-four place.

Manchester United took the lead through a Bruno Fernandes' deflected goal in an entertaining encounter that was almost disrupted again by protests against the Manchester United ownership.

One of Liverpool buses was blocked from picking team members up before kickoff but Liverpool didn't allow that to affect their performance on the night.

They got back into the game after a Diogo Jota's intelligent flick.

Roberto Firmino doubled their lead with a bullet header as he was left unmarked by Paul Pogba at the back post.

The Brazilian forward, who had only scored once since December, made it two for him on the night with a well-taken goal immediately after the break.

Marcus Rashford reduced united's deficit with a fine finish after he was played through by Edison Cavani.

But Mohamed Salah secured the points with a late counterattack goal for his 21st Premier League goal of the season.

The victory boosted Liverpool's chances as they moved into fifth place in the Premier League after the win.

If they win at relegated West Brom on Sunday, they will be within one and three points respectively of Chelsea and Leicester who will face each other on Saturday in the FA Cup final and also have to play each other in the premier league at Stamford Bridge on May 18th.
