Ousmane Dembele was the hero as he scored a late winner to give Barcelona a hard-fought victory over Real Valladolid in an exciting La Liga match.

This is Catalan's sixth win in a row, the win boosted Barcelona's title challenge as a moved to second place and one point behind leaders Atletico Madrid.

Real Valladolid frustrated the home side but Barca was handed the advantage when Oscar Plano was sent off after receiving a straight red for a dangerous tackle on Dembele.

Dembele scored a volley in the 90th minute of the match.

Barcelona had to dig deep as both sides hit the frame of the goal in the first half - Kenan Kodro's header for Valladolid and Pedri's low shot was tipped to the post by the visiting goalkeeper.

Barcelona's fate is in their hands now after Atletico fell short 1-0 against Sevilla at the weekend. Barca will visit Madrid in El Clasico this Saturday and host Atletico next month in a potential title decider.
