3 Lions manager, Gareth Southgate has named his squad for the upcoming games against the Republic of Ireland, Belgium and Iceland, with the suspended duo of Harry Maguire and Reece James making the cut and a recall for one of the prodigal pair, Phil Foden

Both Manchester clubs had their teenage stars sent home from the Reykjavic camp in September following a breach of the coronavirus rules while on England duty and were both left out of the squad of last month games.

Coach Gareth Southgate however called one and left out the other, like the biblical rapture stories, the Manchester City playmaker is acting the saint and the devil from the red side of Manchester playing the unwanted role of the one left behind.

Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka retains his place as a left back in Southgate’s squad as well as a strange call for the Reece James and Harry Maguire – both were sent off in the loss to Denmark in October and would miss the next game but retained the trust of the manager regardless.

Harry Kane as expected leads the line with a call up for red hot Dominic Calvert Lewin and Jack Grealish; England will square up with Ireland first in a friendly before taking on Belgium and Iceland in the UEFA Nations League.
