Before the arrival of Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s recent record against Liverpool isn’t something the fans want to have a look at.

It’s so poor that Arsenal ships at least four goals against the Kops regardless of the ground it’s been played.

But fast-forward to 2020 and Arsenal can boast of back to back wins against Jurgen Klopp’s men.

Liverpool know for sure that only consistency can help them to retain the title they won last summer.

They were shell shocked even in their win against Leeds United and needed a Chelsea red card to overcome the Blues.

Although one might argue they were going to win either ways but having been unable to beat Arsenal in their last two, they will look at Arteta’s men differently.

Three points and a place on top of the table is at stake for this encounter. 

Arsenal however do not currently have what it takes to challenge for the title of course except they finish strongly in the current transfer window and hope contenders don’t come to the party.

The chase for Thomas Partey and Hossem Aouar have dragged for too long.

In the slim win over Westham, their midfield isn’t ready to challenge especially with Thiago Alcantara joining the Liverpool midfield.

The key battle will be in the middle where Dani Ceballos and Elneny will join Granit Xhaka if Arteta opts for a back four on the return of David Luiz.

Liverpool will dominate but Arsenal can be dangerous on the counter.
