Super Eagles: Gernot Rohr names 23-man squad for AFCON 2021 qualifier against Benin and Lesotho on November 13 and 17, 2019.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have announced the 23-man squad for the AFCON 2021 qualifier against Benin and Lesotho respectively.
Ahmed Musa and Daniel Akpeyi are back in the team for November's doubleheader for the African Cup of Nations qualifier.
Musa was out of action following a knee injury he picked up during a Saudi Professional League match between his club Al-Nassr and Al Fateh, while Akpeyi was dropped for the injured Francis Uzoho.
Samuel Kalu is also making a return to Gernot Rohr's squad after missing the 1-1 draw against Brazil in an international friendly match, Mikel Agu and Leganes' Kenneth Omeruo are also back in the squad.
Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Ramon Azeez, Joe Aribo are all included in the list, while Stoke City midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo could only make the standby list.
Nigeria will host the Squirrels of Benin at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on November 13 before traveling to Lesotho to face the Crocodiles four days later.
