Mesut Ozil: Two men charged after squabble outside Arsenal star's home
Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac were withdrawn from Arsenal's squad for the opening Premier League match of the 2019/20 season against Newcastle today.
Arsenal announced the decision on Friday, saying both players will not feature at St James' Park due to "further security incidents being investigated by the police".
Two men, Ferhat Ercan, and Salaman Ekinci have been arrested and charged under section 4a of the Public Order Act and will appear at Highbury Magistrates' Court on September 6 according to sky sports report.
In July, Ozil and Kolasinac were victims of an armed robbery attack as the former German midfielder was picking the defender up from outside his house but they both escaped unhurt after Kolasinac challenged one of the attackers before entering Ozil's car.
