Gareth Bale has stepped up since Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer to Juventus as Real Madrid beat Leganes in La Liga.

Attacking duo of Benzema and the Welsh man continued their scoring form in Los Blancos win.

Bale scored the first goal with a powerful shot, he has now scored in seven consecutive La Liga games.

Leganes equalised from the penalty spot with Guido Carrillo converted the spot kick but Karim Benzema restored Madrid's lead with a header with the help of Video Assistant Referee.

He extended the lead with a powerful goal, the French striker's fourth goal in two matches.

Sergio Ramos made it 4-1 with a penalty.

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois played his first game for the Madrid giants but had little to do on a quiet night, Leganes only had three shots on target including the penalty by Carrillo.

Gareth Bale has now scored three goals this season, while Benzema is on five goals in four games. Cristiano Ronaldo is yet to score his first goal for Juventus after three Serie A matches, the Italian champions have won all three games.
