Watch! Loris Karius gets hero's welcome from Besiktas' fans as he arrives in Turkey (Video)
Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius completed his loan move to Besiktas in Turkey.
The 25-year old German goalkeeper will spend two seasons on loan at the Turkish club.
Karius received a lot of criticism for his performance in Liverpool's 3-1 loss to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final last May.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp lost confidence in Karius as he signed Brazil goalkeeper Alisson to solve their goalkeeping problems with Mignolet and Karius as the substitute goalkeepers.
Alisson is yet to concede a goal in three competitive matches so far this season for Klopp's side, Karius had to find his confidence back as Liverpool fans concluded their goalkeepers caused their lack of Silverware in the last few years.
On Saturday, Liverpool confirmed on their website that Karius had made the switch to Besiktas and he will spend two years on loan at the Turkish side.
Everybody at #LFC wishes @LorisKarius the best of luck during his loan spell. 🙌https://t.co/TNB7Rt2SJX— Liverpool FC (@LFC) August 25, 2018
The move is looking as the right decision for the German goalkeeper who was received with a hero's welcome by numerous Besiktas' fans during his arrival in Turkey.
