West Ham close to signing Javier Pastore from PSG

West Ham United are in advanced talks to sign Argentinian attacking midfielder Javier Pastore from Ligue 1 champions PSG.

Pini Zahavi and West Ham owner David Gold are currently negotiating a deal, with the player’s agent Marcelo Simonian supposedly willing to bring Pastore’s wage demands down as this has been a previous problem with the deal.

The deal should pull through as PSG need recoup between €40m and €60m in transfer fees by the end of the July, having officially taken in €10m of that amount, in order to obey FFP rules.

No denying of Pastore's talent but the 28year old is on the decline, he struggled to get into the starting lineup of the Ligue 1 champions.

Despite this, Manuel Pellegrini would hope he can get him back to his best if he joins the Premier League side.
