Nigeria 3-0 Cameroon: 8 things we learnt

1. The team looked more organized and balanced than the previous match.

2. Ambrose/Balogun pairing in central defence looked good, shutting out FC Porto striker Aboubakar who caused the Chelsea defence all sort of trouble just over a week ago is a good one but there is room for improvement.

3. Rabiu Ibrahim is not Super Eagles standard, came on in the second half and struggled all through, losing the ball a few times and picking out the wrong passes.

4. Moses Simon is exciting to watch!!! Great future ahead if he keeps working hard in training.

5. Echijiele is not convincing in the left back position, maybe he needs to lose some weight.

6.  Odion Ighalo is actually a good header of the ball, the Watford striker scored a well placed header to make it 3-0.
See the header here.

7. Emenike is still struggling to score for the National team. Moving to UAE is not helping his cause right? Time to be left out!!!

8. Fellow Nigerians, Mikel Obi is still your best player.
The Chelsea midfielder put up a great shift as he played a free role in the middle, moving freely and finding space to pick out passes. His combination with Igbonu and Onazi frustrated Trabzonspor midfielder Mbia as he was sent off for two bookable offences.
