Nigerian born Bobby Adekanye joins Liverpool from Barcelona

16-year old Bobby Adekanye has confirmed on his instagram page that he joined Liverpool from Barcelona.

Adekanye was born in Nigeria but was brought up in Holland after his parents moved to Amsterdam when he was four, and also has Spanish links.

Bobby has played for the Dutch U-16s and he is been compared to Bayer Munich Arjen Robben.

Barcelona signed Adekanye as a 12-year-old and this transfer was one of seven flagged up concerning the behaviour of the Catalans, thereby resulting in the ongoing transfer ban.

With a lack of first team opportunities also a problem at the Nou Camp, Adekanye spent the 2014/2015 season on loan at PSV.

Ajax, PSV and Barcelona all fought for Adekanye’s signature but Liverpool came out with the winger.

On Thursday evening Bobby Adekamye confirmed he has signed for Liverpool with a post on Instagram. (See below.)
