Zlatan Ibrahimovic put the French champions into the lead with a solid left foot finish before Cesc Fabregas played a sublime pass into the path of Victor Moses for a easy tap-in to level the match.

Belgian keeper Thibaut Courtois was the hero in the shoot-out, saving two penalties before firing the winning penalty into the top corner.
