Arsenal move to sign Aubameyang from Dortmund as Tottenham show interest

Arsenal have made contact with Borussia Dortmund over a deal to sign Gabon striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports.

Aubameyang has been strongly linked with a move to Arsenal in the last six weeks, with Arsene Wenger looking to bring in a world class striker.

And after reports claimed Borussia Dortmund had rejected an £28.7million offer from the Gunners, France Football say Arsenal are now in talks with Dortmund to try and find a deal.

Furthermore, it’s claimed Aubameyang has been offered a new deal at Dortmund, but he would prefer to move to England instead.

Tottenham have also been linked with the Gabon international.

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has since said: “We rely heavily on Aubameyang – that is no secret.

“I’ve heard a lot about this (a transfer to Arsenal) but I can say very clearly that it is blocked for him. He is simply not for sale.”

Borussia Dortmund did not qualify for the 2015/2016 UEFA Champions League, as a result of this Arsene Wenger will be confident of landing the Gabonese forward who is keen on Champions League football.
