AC Milan post tribute video for El Sharaawy as he completes Monaco move
Italian forward El Sharaawy has completed a move to Monaco, signing a one-year loan from AC Milan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
The 22-year old midfielder had a medical with the French league club on Monday, and Gazzetta dello Sport report that Monaco will pay Milan a €16 million fee.
The option will become mandatory after the striker plays a certain number of games for his new club, with El Shaarawy agreeing to a five-year deal worth €3m per season.
"It's a great feeling to sign here in Monaco. I am very happy and excited," El Shaarawy told Monaco's website.
"I thank the President of AS Monaco for this opportunity and hope to have a great season. I want to make the fans happy."
