Gervinho demanded helicopter & a private beach to join UAE club

Former Arsenal striker has been tipped to leave AS Roma in this summer transfer window and for Al Jazira seemed like his destination.

According to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport, the move collapsed on  Monday due to some contract demands made by Gervinho.

Those demands included always having a helicopter at his disposal, accommodation for his family in Abu Dhabi, a private beach and an unknown number of plane tickets to the Ivory Coast.

The demands did not go down well with the UAE side, so they did not agree to them.

Gervinho, 28, was expected to arrive in the UAE after Roma and Al Jazira reached an agreement for the €13 million transfer of the former Arsenal forward.

Gervinho’s future is now unclear. He remains under contract at Roma until 2018.
