An extended international break is starting. We won't be seeing club football until the middle of next month. It's going to be tough, but we survived the summer.

There is lots of news in the media today. On top of that is Mattheus Cunha begging Manchester United fans to stay calm in the face of another horrible start to the league season. The Brazilian scored United's leveller in their 1-1 draw at Craven Cottage on Sunday and reminded fans of last season's story.

The Red Devils have equalled their start to last season, where they picked only five points from a possible 15. The two losses to Hull City and Manchester City have plunged them into the bottom half of the season, which must worry most fans.

"Last season was my first season here, and then maybe it was crazier than this one," Cunha said. "There was a lot of noise around us, a season without Champions League. Maybe people were saying, 'Oh, United will go to the Championship' or something like that.

"And then at the end of the day, we finished third, you know? I feel like inside of us, we still have a lot of trust; we know what we do, and all the belief is inside." Can Manchester United fix it up when the league resumes in three weeks?

Let's talk about Liverpool for a second. The Reds managed a 1-0 win over Bournemouth at the weekend, but there were signs of real struggles in their hard-fought win. Liverpool must make a decision about their mega-money signing, Florian Wirtz, very soon.

The German playmaker has failed to impress in Liverpool colours and was anonymous again in the game against Bournemouth. Liverpool spent a huge amount of money on Wirtz. Will he eventually come through, or can they cut their losses now?

It's going from bad to worse for Chelsea. From seeking defensive stability to losing their spark at the other end. No one expected the rampaging Chelsea attack to blank against Brentford, even in the absence of Joao Pedro. Xabi Alonso must find answers to such problems.

Very quick one on the champions. The 3-0 embarrassment at Brighton is a reality check that shows there are still defeats looming, but there's no need to press the panic button yet. Mikel Arteta must get his boys to never repeat such a performance. They're still the firm favourite to win the title; they must avoid such in the future.
