It's transfer season in the world of football, and today we continue sharing juicy stories from the buzzing transfer window.

We start today's column with an intriguing one. Chelsea's Mykhailo Mudryk returned to the pitch for an actual football game for the first time in 615 days in the 1-0 defeat to Juventus in one of Chelsea's preseason friendlies.

You already know what that means. The Blues will try to offload the Ukrainian, who is now available to play following his doping ban being lifted. There are reports of offers for the beleaguered Chelsea winger; we can't wait to see who will take him.

Tottenham is arguably the busiest Premier League team in the transfer window. After completing moves for the likes of Matteus Fernandes, Marcos Senesi, Andy Robertson, and Sandro Tonali, the North London side isn't closing the wallet yet, as they're now leading the race for Cody Gakpo.

Recent reports suggest that Spurs want Pedro Neto if their pursuit of Savinho from Manchester City doesn't work out, but we can now confirm that the Dutch winger from Liverpool is another option, and Tottenham will wrap things up if Liverpool names a price.

With the defensive reinforcements at Tottenham, everyone fully expects club captain Christian Romero to leave this summer. Inter Milan was in discussion with the player's camp, but the Italian champions went for John Stones instead.

Atlético Madrid now leads the race for the Argentine World Cup winner in 2022, with an offer of €40m being prepared to lure Romero from Tottenham. This looks like a deal waiting to happen. Romero wants a new challenge. Spurs won't stop him.

Former Arsenal defender Takehiro Tomiyasu has joined Crystal Palace as a free agent after his contract at Ajax expired at the end of the season. The Japanese defender passed his medical on Tuesday and will join the Conference League champions on a 3-year deal.

Finally, on the daily dose of the Vinícius Jr. saga, reports from Wednesday's meeting between the Los Blancos' representatives and the Vini camp ended on a positive note with the club improving their offer to the Brazilian.

This means that Vini is more likely to stay than to move away. It's probably time for the Premier League champions to start looking elsewhere for a marquee signing that they so desire this window, as necessitated by their 3-1 loss to Real Betis in a preseason friendly on Wednesday.
