It's probably the worst-kept secret in football, but we can confirm that Liverpool and Andoni Iraola have agreed on a two-year deal.

Iraola left Bournemouth at the end of his contract and requested only two years at Anfield. The Spaniard will replace Arne Slot, who delivered the Premier League title in his first year at the helm.

Manchester United to sign Ederson from Atalanta

Atalanta midfielder Ederson is set to arrive at Old Trafford after Manchester United agreed on a deal to take the Brazilian to England for a fee of €45m.

With Casemiro out of the door and Manuel Ugarte set to follow, United is poised to add another body in the middle of the park after Ederson. The Brazilian signing will undergo medicals in the coming days as he completes his move from Atalanta.

Marco Silva replaces Mourinho at Benfica

After leaving Fulham, Marco Silva has agreed on terms with Benfica to take over the reins from former Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho.

Marco Silva left the Portuguese league ten years ago, but has now returned on a 3-year deal with Benfica. With Mourinho off to Real Madrid, his compatriot has been identified as the man to help Benfica snatch the title from Porto.

Real Madrid agrees on a deal with Dumfries.

We reported Real Madrid's interest in Dutchman Denzel Dumfries in yesterday's column; we can now confirm that the Spanish giants have informed Inter Milan of their decision to trigger the defender's release clause.

Dumfries has a €25m release clause in his Inter Milan contract, which Real Madrid will trigger in the coming days. There's no conversation needed, no dialogue or negotiation. The deal becomes active once Real Madrid activates the clause.

Konate to Real Madrid?

Multiple outlets are reporting strong interest from Real Madrid in Ibrahima Konate, but it all depends on Florentino Perez winning re-election.

Liverpool and Konate parted ways at the end of the Frenchman's contract last week, having failed to agree on a new deal. We keep our eyes on this one as nothing is finalized yet. A lot will depend on the Chairmanship elections coming up soon.
