The 2026 FIFA World Cup is in full swing in North America, with Morocco and Brazil settling for a 1-1 draw in the early hours of Sunday, while Australia shocked everyone with a sensational win over Turkey; however, our focus today is on the transfer window.

Despite the World Cup's focus, there are ongoing moves in the transfer window. From Alvaro Arbeloa to Bernardo Silva and a certain Ruben Amorim. Here are transfer updates.

Arbeloa to become Fulham head coach.

After a failed campaign with Real Madrid, former Spanish defender Alvaro Arbeloa has agreed to join Fulham as the substantive replacement for Marco Silva, who has taken up the Benfica job left by Jose Mourinho.

The merry-go-round completes with Arbeloa, who lost his job at Real Madrid to Mourinho, accepting the job left behind by the man who went to Benfica to replace Mourinho. Some things are written in the stars, right?

Bernardo Silva chooses Real Madrid over Barcelona.

Despite two separate bids from the Spanish champions, Bernardo Silva has settled for a 2-year contract at Real Madrid as a free agent after leaving Manchester City at the end of the season.

Silva achieved so much under Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, and he joins Real Madrid with a wealth of experience that Portugal is set to benefit from at the World Cup. Reports confirm it was Mourinho's call, and the player obliged.

Ruben Amorim to become AC Milan's head coach?

Former Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is the strongest candidate to take over the dugout from Max Allegri at AC Milan.

Since losing the United job, Amorim is believed to have prepared himself for another big role, and the Milan job comes at the right time for the Portuguese. With AC Milan in a transition phase, Amorim might be the right man for the job.

Mancini to take the Azurri job?

Former Manchester City and Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini is set to return to the Italian national team after leaving Saudi Arabian club Al Sadd.

Italy failed to qualify for the third straight World Cup, prompting the sacking of everyone involved in the qualifying campaign. Mancini has been successful as the Azurri coach in the past; is he about to bring back the glory days?

Yaya Touré begins his managerial career with Slovan Bratislava.

Former Manchester City and Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure has been named the head coach of Slovakian side Slovan Bratislava.

The Ivorian has always talked about his passion for the game and the will to take on the dugout; after a series of assistant manager jobs and youth football management roles, Yaya Toure is now set to cut his teeth with one of the biggest sides in Slovakian football. Good luck to him.
