Reigning champions PSG on Wednesday booked a date in the final of the UEFA Champions League against Arsenal after a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.

Ballon d'Or winner Ousmane Dembele powered the French champions in front with a fine pass from Georgian wonder lad Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.

It took only three minutes for PSG to take the lead, and we won't see another goal until the dying seconds of the game.

The reigning champions went into the game with a 1-goal advantage after winning the first leg 5-4 at the Parc des Princes; expectations of goals by the teeming stadium fans came to nothing as the game stood at 1-0 until the final minute of added time.

England striker Harry Kane got on the end of a reverse Alphonso Davies pass in the PSG area and took a neat touch before curving one past the PSG goalkeeper to level matters on the night, but it was too little too late for the home side to find the tie leveller.

The Gunners and PSG met in the semifinal of the competition last season, with the French side winning the tie 3-1 on aggregate. It will be Arsenal's second Champions League final in their long history and an opportunity to win the trophy for the first time.

Attention will shift to the Europa and Conference Leagues on Thursday as three English teams fight for spots in the finals of their respective competitions.

Aston Villa will host Nottingham Forest with the visitors holding a 1-0 first-leg advantage, while Crystal Palace will host Ukrainian side Shakhter Donetsk with a 3-1 first-leg advantage to protect.

Unai Emery's body language in his presser didn't inspire confidence.

Still, Aston Villa players will know that this is their best opportunity to land silverware under the Spanish tactician, who has won the Europa League four times in the past.

Oliver Glasner believes his Crystal Palace side will get the job done this weekend as they hope to make it a back-to-back trophy-winning season following their FA Cup success last season; in their way is a second-leg tie against their Ukrainian opponents.
