Everyone is talking about the title decider at the Etihad. Everyone is talking about the latest meeting of the master and the apprentice, but this game is equally important for so many reasons.

Manchester United needs to get back to winning ways after the shock home loss to Leeds United. How do you explain that a team that had three weeks' rest lost at home to a relegation-threatened side in front of their fans?

Chelsea is not in a better position. The Blues currently sit outside Champions League positions. Liam Rosenior will know that his continued presence in the Chelsea dugout is largely dependent on where the team finishes at the end of the season.

The Blues lost at home to Manchester City. A result that has galvanized the title race but left Chelsea fighting to return to the Champions League after their Round of 16 elimination at the hands of reigning champions PSG.

Manchester United remains the favorite for the third spot. Aston Villa's continued participation in the Europa League will be of huge advantage to the surrounding teams on the log, but this game at Stamford Bridge Stadium is a 6-pointer.

Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire are both unavailable for this game. The England defender incurred an additional ban after his red card against Bournemouth, while the Argentine defender got his marching orders for serious foul play against Leeds.

This development leaves United with Leny Yoro, Isaac Haven, and Luke Shaw as the center-back options; depending on the system Michael Carrick favors, we could see wingback options with Amad Diallo, Noussair Mazraoui, and Diogo Dalot filling in.

For the Blues, only Jamie Gittens and Levi Colwill are unavailable. The latter played for the U21s on Friday and could be on the bench for Chelsea's next engagement. This means Rosenior has enough ammunition to prosecute this one.

Enzo Fernandes is available again after his internal suspension. United will draw inspiration from the reverse fixture where a red card to Robert Sanchez helped the Red Devils to a 2-1 success. It was a battle between Ruben Amorim and Enzo Maresca then, now it's Carrick vs Rosenior.

Chelsea has only one win in their last six games. The club hierarchy, through one of the investors, dropped a confusing statement on the future of Rosenior; if there's a game that can change their mind about the young manager, it's this one.

United will rely on the brilliance of Bruno Fernandes and the duo of Bryan Mbeumo and Mattheus Cunha, while Cole Palmer and Joao Pedro will lead the attack for the Blues. It's a game of huge significance for both sides. How will it play out?

Verdict: Both teams to score.
