Chelsea has been sensational in the league since the signing of Liam Rosenior. The Blues have won every league game since the former Hull City defender joined; can they take things a notch higher against Leeds United?

The Blues have just one job, which is to finish in the top four. You reckon fifth place might be enough to achieve Champions League football. Like they laboured for it last season, fans would want some comfort and not some final-day drama like they experienced last season.

Leeds United is in dreamland. Their relegation six-pointer last weekend earned them a huge lift on the log, and the six-point cushion over West Ham in the drop zone doesn’t excite them as much as the fact that a win here could take them level on points with Palace in 13th.

Look at the log for a second; Leeds United are level on points with Spurs, who sit just above them. Daniel Farke has done an amazing job to steer Leeds United to a point where their fate remains in their hands. They can ruffle some feathers at Stamford Bridge Stadium on Tuesday night.

Chelsea has a few scores to settle with the Lilywhites. When the Blues travelled to Elland Road, Leeds United sent them back empty-handed; it was a result that set the Blues back and led to the emergence of Rosenior. Can Chelsea avenge that defeat on Tuesday?

Cole Palmer returned to scoring ways at the weekend, albeit with two penalties. Is the former Manchester City lad set to return to form at the right time? Chelsea rested Estevao away at Wolves; will they unleash him on the Lilywhites?

Dominic Calvert-Lewin will face a late fitness test ahead of this one, but Farke is sure he will be fine. Anton Stach will be missed, and we’re also hearing Pascal Stuijk will not feature due to a similar hip injury to that of midfielder Stach.

Watch out for Pedro Neto on the wings for Chelsea, but Joao Pedro is the main man upfront. The Brazilian was at it again at the weekend, providing assists and occupying spaces behind defenders. Leeds must be wary of him.

How can Leeds earn anything from this game? They just must continue doing what they enjoy doing most, which is soaking up pressure and hitting teams on the counter. This one is sure to thrill the neutrals; however, Chelsea should win at home effortlessly.

Verdict: Chelsea to win
