Manchester United is in cloud 9. Wherever Ruben Amorim is, if he cares about Manchester United as much as he claims, he should be happy he was fired, seeing how the team is after his dismissal.

The Red Devils went to the Emirates Stadium to do what no team had been able to do this season. They didn’t only stand toe-to-toe with the Gunners; they beat Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal 3-2.

Fulham is not in a bad place, and this might be a stern test for Michael Carrick. While the former Manchester United player is enjoying his honeymoon period in his second coming, a win in front of the Old Trafford crowd would do his stocks a lot of good as he hopes to get the job on a long-term basis.

Fulham currently sits in 7th on the log, four points behind their hosts, and a win could send them just one point behind the Red Devils. To put that into context, should Marco Silva’s side beat United, they would be only two points behind Liverpool and just three points off the top 4.

The Lilywhites have an even stronger form than that of their hosts. They have just one loss in their last five, which is the same as that of Manchester United, but Fulham has three wins in their last five and only one draw, while United has two.

Harry Wilson has been the leading light in the Fulham ranks this season. The former Liverpool man curled in a sensational free kick at the tail end of the game to earn maximum points against the Seagulls last weekend; he would look to do it again on Sunday.

How will Manchester United approach this? They will do the same thing they did against Manchester City and Arsenal. They will seek to cut out mistakes while staying clinical. It is important for the Red Devils to take good advantage of this form; they need the win to return to the top. 4.

In the massive win over Arsenal, United scored with their three shots on target. They will have more chances against Fulham, and that should mean more goals, but are we going to see the same Manchester United we have seen in the past two days?

How can Fulham upset the odds here? They have the trio of Samuel Chukwueze, Alex Iwobi and Wilson, who can unlock defences. Fulham must use their width strength as well as their pace. If they want to beat Manchester United, they must take their chances.
