It was a weekend of sensational derbies across Europe, with Juventus and Inter Milan playing out the peak of the bunch, arguably the game of the season so far.

The Old Lady beat Inter Milan 4-3 in a game that saw spectacular goals and the sort of atmosphere you call a great advert for the Serie A. Igor Tudor got the points, but Cristian Chivu can be proud of his lads too.

In the Premier League, where West Ham continues to flirt with the drop, Tottenham took great advantage of a silly Tomas Soucek red card to roll over the Hammers, beating them 3-0 at the London Stadium on Saturday.

Is Graham Potter the first manager in line for a sack? In all fairness, does he have a sufficiently strong squad to compete? With Palace at home and Everton and Arsenal away up next, is there a silver lining anywhere for Potter and the Hammers?

Chelsea couldn't rise above their bogey team on Saturday, as Brentford led and then had to come from behind to snatch a point from the jaws of defeat, leaving Enzo Maresca and his lads wondering what they have to do to beat Brentford.

Cole Palmer is back, and his goal was special for the Blues, giving them confidence for their next fixture, which is away at Manchester United. Chelsea are down to fifth on the log; they don't want to allow too much of a gap between them and the log leaders so early.

At the Etihad, it was a great night for Pep Guardiola and his Citizens as they brushed Manchester United aside in a game where both sides could have scored lots of goals each.

Erling Haaland scored two second-half goals to complete the rout after Phil Foden's opener. Ruben Amorim vowed not to change his style in the press conference after the game; "If you want to change the style, change the manager," he said.

Up next for United is a game against Chelsea, one they must find creative ways to win or, at least, draw. The record of Amorim in England is appalling; a 25% win rate is a relegation standard. And that's exactly where they are.
