It’s the weekend! Lots of businesses are getting sealed in the buzzing transfer window, which closes on Monday. What deals excite us today?

Spurs hijack Chelsea’s Simmons deal.

Xavi Simons will join Tottenham after Leipzig and the North London club struck a €60m deal for the Dutch playmaker, who is expected to complete the deal on Friday.

Simmons has had his Spurs medical already and could be registered on time for the weekend’s fixture at home against Bournemouth. Spurs win the Simmons race after Chelsea held on for so long but couldn’t guarantee him a starting role in a packed squad.

Chelsea agree to Garnacho deal with United.

After a long tussle with Manchester United, Alejandro Garnacho has now gotten his wish to move to Chelsea after United agreed to the £40m offer from the Blues.

Garnacho will sign a deal for seven years and could be available for Chelsea this weekend, subject to a successful medical. The Argentine has always asked to leave following several altercations with Ruben Amorim; we can’t wait for a fixture between United and Chelsea.

Mainoo asks to leave United this summer.

Manchester United’s youngster Kobbie Mainoo has asked to leave the club this summer as he seeks regular football ahead of the 2026 World Cup.

Amorim’s current system doesn’t favour the England youngster, and, despite his quality, sitting on the bench has been his new reality. While Manchester United has declined Mainoo’s request, the youngster is expected to push again for a loan move.

Woltemade joins Newcastle from Stuttgart.

German side VFB Stuttgart has softened the Alexander Isak situation by selling Nick Woltemade to Newcastle for a fee of €80m.

Liverpool is on standby to make a staggering bid for the Swedish international if Newcastle opens up the conversation; however, the Magpies will celebrate the addition of a striker who set the Bundesliga ablaze with goals last season.

Bayern wants Chelsea’s Jackson.

After being told to look for another club, Nicolas Jackson is now in discussions with Bayern Munich, with the German champions offering a €15m loan fee.

AC Milan is close to tidying up the deal for Christopher Nkunku, which could also be a loan with an option to buy, while Raheem Sterling is still in limbo with no suitors. The arrival of Garnacho means the former City and Liverpool man has to seek solutions elsewhere.
