As most clubs prepare to embark on their pre-season tour, the transfer market is agog with movements; here is the top of the bunch news in that regard.

Arsenal to complete triple deal before tour

Sources close to the Arsenal camp have confirmed that the Gunners could announce the signings of Noni Madueke, Christian Mosquera, and Viktor Gyokeres this week ahead of their preseason tour.

The Gunners have been reported to be close to agreeing to a move for Gyokeres, while an agreement is already in place for Mosquera, and Madueke has already completed his medical. With the team off to pre-season this weekend, Mikel Arteta hopes to have them all on the plane to Asia.

Liverpool’s Elliot to replace Kudus at West Ham?

West Ham United wants to replace the departed Mohammed Kudus with Liverpool wonderkid Harvey Elliot, but they could be coughing out a larger part of what they received for Kudus.

Liverpool’s asking price for the U21 star would be in excess of £40m, especially after his stellar performances for the England U21 team at the just-concluded Euro championship. Elliot doesn’t mind a move away; he needs to play, and West Ham could be a great option.

Liverpool to move for Mateta?

Liverpool’s first-choice targets upfront are beginning to find agreements with other clubs; hence, the Premier League champions are now eyeing a shock move for Jean Phillippe Mateta.

Christian Palace was in a great place following their Europa League qualification; however, since the ruling that demoted them to the Conference League, many of their stars are now beginning to consider options, and Mateta could be the next in line to leave.

Luka Modric joins AC Milan.

There’s a new number 14 in Milan; it is the ageless Croat, Luka Modric, who has signed as a free agent on a one-year deal with an option of another year.

Luka Modric signed his contract on Monday after a successful medical, and he is itching to join AC Milan on their preseason tour. The Rossoneri welcomed the 39-year-old, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic doing the honours. It was never in doubt; Modric is now officially a Milan player.

Newcastle nears Hugo Ekitike deal.

Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike is the next in line to join Newcastle United after the arrival of Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga.

The Magpies are in pole position to land the Frenchman, and with a bid of £70m set to be accepted, Ekitike can be considered a Newcastle player. The next question is, how does Eddie Howe fit him into the frontline, which already has Alexander Isak? Or is the latter leaving?
