Ahead of the Club World Cup and the UEFA Nations League that takes centre stage at the weekend, we look at some buzzing headlines in the current transfer window.

Bryan Mbeumo favours a United switch.

Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo has told his agents to consider offers from Manchester United, as the Cameroonian favours a switch to Old Trafford as opposed to other teams interested in him.

Mbeumo was Brentford’s standout player in the just-concluded season and will be available for £35m; with Arsenal and Tottenham showing interest in the forward, he seems to favour a team that guarantees first-team football, and with United set to shed many forward players, he sees the light there.

Jobe is set to follow Jude’s path.

Jobe Bellingham, the younger brother of Real Madrid’s midfield maestro Jude Bellingham, has agreed to a move to Borussia Dortmund, following in the footsteps of his big brother.

Jude went from Borussia Dortmund to Real Madrid in a £100m move two years ago, and after helping Sunderland to a Premier League promotion from the Championship, Jobe is now on a journey of self-discovery, and who knows? He might be lining up for Real Madrid soon.

Liverpool working hard on Kerkez deal

Liverpool is understood to prioritise Florian Wirtz at the moment, and after two bid rejections, the Premier League champions are expected to table another offer for the German midfielder.

However, Milos Kerkez is another player they hope to tidy up before the Club World Cup begins. With Andy Robertson declining and Kostas Tsimikas struggling to reach the heights required, Liverpool needs a left-back, and they are in communication with Bournemouth for their young defender.

Man City to sign Ait-Nouri from Wolves

After enduring an embarrassing season, Manchester City continues to prepare for a huge 2025/2026 season with improvements in every department, and Wolves star Rayan Ait-Nouri is the latest player they’re talking to.

Aït-Nouri excelled as a fullback and a wingback for Wolves in the just-concluded season, and he is keen on a move to the former champions. Wolves will not stand in his way as long as City meets his valuation. This one is expected to move quickly.

Ronaldo to walk away from Al Nassr?

With his contract expiring this month, Cristiano Ronaldo is on his way out of Saudi club Al Nassr despite the club’s new offer to the Portuguese star.

Ronaldo is rumoured to have an eye on the Club World Cup, which means he could consider a switch to Al Hilal; however, Al Nassr is offering Ronaldo a new deal and assurances that Liverpool’s Luis Diaz will join the club soon. What will Ronaldo decide?
