Crystal Palace's cup success over the weekend changed a lot of things in the race for Europe, and Brentford's inability to win at home against Fulham also offered Brighton some hope; it's intriguing going into the final week of the league season.

Brighton could move up to eighth on the log with any point at all against the champions in a game that would be the last at home for the Seagulls this weekend, and, depending on what happens in other European Cup finals, it could also be sufficient for European football next season.

Liverpool are still in a celebratory mood; their 2-2 draw last weekend against the Gunners revealed several lapses that were not evident throughout the season, particularly the slip-up in the second half that allowed Arsenal to come back into the game.

There's also a place of recruitment in the thinking of the Kops, with Trent Alexander-Arnold already confirmed to be a Real Madrid player and quite a few set to leave or accept a bit-part role next season.

Brighton has impressed greatly this season and are on course for a solid finish. It's unclear how it will end as of now because Brentford and Fulham are both in the mix; however, even a point elevates the Seagulls into 8th.

Liverpool is in pre-season mode. They won't be the favourite to win this one because they have nothing to lose, they're champions, and they will lift their trophy next week; you might want to avoid putting your money on them.

João Pedro is available for selection after serving his three-match ban for violent conduct; Kaoru Mitoma and Yakubu Minteh are the other guys to look out for, but will they remain at the club beyond the summer?

How will they set up? Brighton will set up to attack. Their first instinct is to be on the front foot, and they would seek to draw first blood. It's going to be an emotional day in front of the fans; expect the seagulls to give it everything.

Liverpool could rotate again. Mohammed Salah failed to find the back of the net again last time out against Arsenal. Will he be able to add to his current goal tally on Monday night?

Will Arne slot throw in Alexander-Arnold despite how Liverpool fans booed him against Arsenal last weekend? Will Fabian Hurzelar throw in Joao Pedro after his red card? Time will tell.

Verdict: Brighton to win or draw
