Ruben Amorim’s positive vibes will be tested at the Emirates on Wednesday night; the mood will be thrown under the spotlight, and how far they have healed from the Ten Hag era will be checked.

Let's face it, this is the most important game in Europe this week for a variety of reasons. We will also put Arsenal's rejuvenation to the test; after a setback that knocked them off course, they have now scored thirteen goals in three games, propelling them to the second spot in the log.

In the real sense, Manchester United doesn’t have a lot to lose considering the state of things at the club; they’re in transition, and it is understandable; it is Arsenal that would be under the lens of critics more in this one.

This does not excuse United from underperforming. They also need to deliver a performance that demonstrates the significant progress under their new manager; United hasn't defeated Arsenal at the Emirates in a long time, and their home and away losses from last season shed light on their recent history.

Where is Arsenal right now? The Gunners need to earn some trust, and a win in a fixture like this answers that but not in its entirety, as they must do it consistently like they did at the beginning of the year when they blew teams away with swashbuckling performances.

Manchester United won 4-0 against Everton at the weekend in what was Amorim’s first home game in the league. It was the first time since Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s days that the club would win by such a margin, and that warms the hearts of the fans.

How will Arsenal approach this? Mikel Arteta has devised innovative strategies to rotate his squad, enabling players such as Thomas Partey and Gabriel Martinelli to score five goals. However, the two goals they conceded against the Hammers underscore the need for improvement.

Marcus Rashford looks like a newborn under Amorim, but we have seen that before. The England forward has a thing for Arsenal and would be looking forward to the clash; will he find joy against the Gunners on Wednesday?

Manchester United will be without Lisandro Martinez and Kobbie Mainoo who both copped yellow cards in their win over Everton to complete a cycle of five but Bruno Fernandes is fit to play. Arsenal will sweat on the fitness of Partey and Mikel Merino but Ben White will miss out.

Bukayo Saka is the darling of the league; he is the closest to Mohammed Salah on the right wing, and he is building a career for himself. The England star boy has a thing for Manchester United the same way Rashford does for the visitors. Which of them will decide the day?

Verdict: Arsenal is to win.
